Ne Yo – Miss Independent (Official Music Video) Exclusive 2008 Lyrics

Monday, August 25th, 2008

NeYo’s name comes from a friend who used to call him Neo, because he said that he saw music the same way Neo (from The Matrix) saw the Matrix, to make it sound more like a Hip-Hop name, Ne-Yo added a Y before the O.

Miley Cyrus is planning to have a really sweet 16 this year. The multimillionaire pop star is reportedly celebrating her birthday on October 5th at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, Entertainment Tonight reports.

While “Miley’s Sweet 16 – Share the Celebration” is the official name and heavily sponsored by Disney, Miley will also be selling tickets at $250 to loyal fans, fans with a good job.

Now the real question — does Miley really need to charge fans to share her “Celebration”? Unless of course, she plans to donate the money…

Miley Cyrus wants you to go Green

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

From her latest video blog, Miley Cyrus and her “BFF”, Mandy Jiroux, want you to go green. Demonstrating just how easy it is, and encouraging more kids to start thinking green now more than ever. Listing a couple suggestions like: Start carpooling and ride with others, Save & Reuse bottles, Quick showers instead of baths (who takes baths anymore anyway) and Organic products with no harsh chemicals.

Jessica Simpson Becomes Beer Spokesperson

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

image

As if we weren’t tired of seeing Jessica Simpson on those late night infomercials about Proactiv. The country singer’s latest gig is representing the Stampede Light Plus Beer, a Dallas-based Brewing Company no one ever heard about. According to the label, the beer is full of B-vitamins and has only 115 calories per beverage. Beer spiked with vitamins? I think we’re starting to see a trend here. From vitamins in a pill, to water, to beer, what’s next — cigarettes?

Lowering US Drinking Age?

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

image

Sources are saying that about 100 college presidents from around the US are calling on lawmakers to lower the legal drinking age from 21 to 18. The well-known Universities include Duke, Dartmouth and Ohio State. They’re saying that the current age limit of 21 only encourages students to drink on campus.

Yeah, um, cool. Now if we show that these laws can be bent to allow drinking at a younger age, one can only expect that this could escalate to further drug related cases.

Drunken man spotted on Google’s ‘street view’

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

image

A 36-year-old man, who had returned home from a funeral of a close friend earlier this year where he spent the night drinking heavily. He ended up passing out on the front lawn only to be captured by Google’s street cam ABC news reports. Needless to say, the man was pretty upset and Google has since removed the image from their database. It doesn’t help that the image will probably be cycling the inter-webs for quite some time.

Is there a Madden curse?

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

image

With the latest installment of Madden being released this past Tuesday, a topic that never gets old with EA’s sports title is the “Madden curse”. However with recent reports of Brett Favre saying that his arm feels ‘fatigued’ may not typically be a great sign. A trend has emerged since Madden 99 with their cover boys getting injured, inability to produce at their all-star level, or just end up with an overall bad season.

Comcast.net has put together a slide show of the players involved in such a controversial subject which is starting to get spooky. I typically don’t believe in curses and if Brett Favre ends up having an off season, we can blame old age on that one.

Sensacell’s develops an interactive LED floor

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

image

Your dreams of lighting up floor tiles like Michael Jackson may finally become a reality (if that’s your thing, of course). When someone or something walks across, it’ll display luminous footprints accordingly. It will be interesting when (or if) this ever makes it to production, and the endless hours people will remain entertained by it. I wonder if there is a weight limit… Continue to the link below to check out the video.

Olympic girl seen but not heard

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Lin Miaoke, who performed “Ode to the Motherland” as China’s flag was applaud Friday, but was not singing at all.

Lin lip-synced to another girl, 7 year old Yang Peiyi, who everyone all heard but not seen, because apparently she was not cute enough.

Do they have any idea what kind of message they’re sending to the young generation? Yang Peiyi, however, was honored to have had a roll in the opening ceremony.
