Miley Cyrus says goodbye to Hannah Montana
Friday, January 8th, 2010Miley Cyrus is officially done with “Hannah Montana.” The show reportedly still averages almost five million viewers a week, however Miley’s mind is made up. She is tired of being known as “Hannah Montana” and wants to grow as a successful actress/singer. Miley has said that she misses being a teenager rather than having everybody tell you all of the time what to think and who to be. Disney Channel Worldwide’s Adam Bonnett says “you never know in this business . . . but right now we’re scheduled to wrap [forever] after shooting this new batch of episodes.”
When Miley was asked about her feelings on being a role model to young teens she responded: “My job is to be a role model, and that’s what I want to do, but my job isn’t to be a parent. My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I’m still figuring that out for myself. So to take that away from me is a bit selfish. Your kids are going to make mistakes whether I do or not. That’s just life.”
