Heidi Klum and hubby Seal are getting a divorce. The two married in 2005 and celebrated their relationship by renewing their vows every year that followed. Their recent split has come as a surprise to even their closest friends.

While many described their marriage as a fairytale things seemed different for the couple behind closed doors. Apparently Seal’s volatile behavior began to have a negative affect on their marriage as well as their four children. It all proved to be too much for Heidi causing her to file for a divorce from the singer.

The couple announced yesterday: “While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”
