Nate Dogg dies at age 41
Thursday, March 17th, 2011Hip hop artist Nate Dogg has died due to complications caused by several strokes at age 41. After suffering two strokes in 2008, he spent his last days trying to regain his health and well being. Nate (aka Nathaniel D. Hale) wasn’t considered a rapper, however he added his own style to several of hip hop’s popular songs. Such songs include Warren G’s “Regulate,” 50 Cent’s “21 Questions,” Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode,” and numerous other hits. He made his debut on Dr. Dre’s album “The Chronic” and immediately distinguished himself with his trademark sound. He then became the go to guy when it came to collaborating with other rappers. Rest in peace Nate Dogg.
After word of Nate’s death Snoop Dogg tweeted: “We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb. One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met.”
